it is no accident that this show has become aantional institution. the writers ensure that nothing is missing. the christmas shows are waited for in our house with baited breath by four generations. each laughinng out load at the same bits. thing is we all know someone like del, and secretly like them, we all love a tryer, a chancer in this country. lets not look too deep into this though, the reason for its success is that it is genuinely hilarious, it can make you laugh (always), can make you cry, and is guaranteed to be talked about for years
