Advantages: Good cast
Disadvantages: Not shown on Tv that often
Only Fools and Horses has got to be the best British comedy ever. Set in London's Peckham, Del Boy (David Jason)and Rodder's (Nicholas Lyndhurst) cause mayhem with their dodgy dealings and weird ways, with the help of Buster Merryfield, who plays Uncle Albert. The boy's flat, on the Nelson Mandella Estate is the main location for most of the scenes, yet the boy's sometimes venture in to the Nags Head for a swift half(or a Bailey's and cherryade!). You can't say this about many programs these days, but all of the characters can act-and act well. DelBoy is the king of dodgy deals, from trying to sell suncream in the winter and crash helmets that are really horse riding hats sprayed red! You'd think Rodney would have more sense to get involved with del's deals, what with his 2 GCE's and all, but he isn't. He helps Del sell his goods from an old suitcase on the market, looking out for the police, and modelling Del's goods, such as the Sikh crash helmets. Uncle Albert generally sits in the flat, ready to tell any unfortunate guest of his war encounters. Iv'e had to think long and hard about what my favourite episode is, as there is so many good ones, but if I had to pick one, it would be the Jolly Boys Outing. 79 Minutes of fun with Del, Rodney, Albert, Trigger, Boycie and more. Its about the Peckham gangs annual outing to Margate. After a night out, the coach breaks down, and theres a scramble to find hotel rooms for everyone. On the way, Del is reunited with old flame Raquel and Rodders gets himself arrested. Another episode to look out for is Mother Natures Son, where Del nearly achieves his life-long ambition of becoming a millionaire! Only Fools and Horses can be seen occasionally on BBC1 and UKGold.

- 27/06/02 Hi and welcome from me too. Your ops aren't bad at all, but have a look at some of the premier opinions to get an idea of how to improve them. Oh, and as Donna said, to get more reads yourself, and thus earn more money and get to know more people (there are some lovely people on here), you need to do a lot more reading of other people's work. Good luck. ~Sharon |
