Possibly the greatest show ever written? (Only Fools and Horses)

Advantages: Very funny, excellently acted, brilliantly written Disadvantages: They havent made enough episodes!
Is Only Fools not the greatest comedy show ever written? No matter how old or new the episode I cant help but roar out with laughter several times during each episode. The one liners are brilliant and combined with the visual comedy, the dopeyness of Rodney, the supposed expert in all areas Del Boy with his classic array of dodgy goods and speaking of foreign languages and dear old Uncle Albert with his war stories you cant go wrong. And thats not forgetting Grandad from the earlier episodes. It isnt just the main characters though, the smaller part characters that have been in from the start, Trigger, Boycie, Denzil and Mike from the Nags Head all play critical parts in the shows and obviously the soppy Mickey Pearce. Thats not forgetting the newer additions whove fitted in perfectly, people like Casandra and Raquel and Damien. The scripts are perfectly written by John Sullivan. He has managed to keep the quality up to top standard all the way through. There has also been some interesting news recently that David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst are in discussions with the BBC about another 3 episodes, tracking their progress since they became millionaires so there is that to look forward to which is a big bonus because all the shows fans thought that it was all over with the 3 episodes in which they became millionaires. If youve never seen this show and I find that very hard to believe, then you have to watch it because there is no better comedy show around. Summary: |
