Advantages: Two good actors in lead roles
Disadvantages: Actors wasted in these roles
I'm sorry to disagree with all the nice people who have given it five stars, but to me, this is a highly over-rated show. David Jason is a very talented actor, as is Nicholas Lyndhurst, but I feel that they were both wasted in this. Two grown men, riding around in a Reliant Regal (thank-you "Del Boy" for putting me straight) - not the famous Robin (that was the car), doing dodgy deals out of a suitcase? I think not. The terrible sheep-skin coat and catch pharse "lovely jubbly" is so irritating. The catch phrase isn't even correct - it should be "Lubbly Jubbly". And how a smart looking lady like Raquel, with a good brain and body to match could end up married to a plonker (to use the show's terminology) is beyond me. There's no way that someone like Cassandra would have ended up with Rodney, either. No, I'm sorry, everyone to their own, but this is one of the most irritating comedy shows that I have ever come across. I really do not enjoy it...

- 02/08/00 How can anyone not like Only Fools and Horses? It is the greatest tv comedy and show ever made and will never be beaten. It was voted the nation's favourite comedy recently and still nets 10 millions viewers when repeated now, most shows would be glad with those ratings first time around! The BBC also showed it against times when ITV showed Euro 2000 matches, that is how popular it is. 5/5 for me. |

- 29/07/00 I don't know why I am giving her money after such a pathetic opinion. Opinion is what it is though I suppose, but seriously 20+ million people can't be wrong can they. I reckon she is doing this to be antagonistic, she is well known for it on www.net4nowt.co.uk
Also the Van was a Reliant Regal Supervan III actually! |

- 28/07/00 Somehow I feel you're writing this just to be different! (nothing wrong with that I suppose!!) Only fools... features some of the best scripts ever seen on British telly. Classic situational humour which is as funny now as it has ever been. Sorry Ruth, but it's five stars from me too! |
