WHAT IS IT ABOUT:
This reality TV show from the US follows the day to day life of rock singer Ozzy Osbourne and his crazy family. It ran from 2002 to 2005 on both Channel 4 and MTV.

IS IT ANY GOOD:
When this show first came out, it was like nothing I had ever seen before; it seemed to somehow blend fiction with reality, in that the Osbourne family are larger than life and completely whacky. The show could have been a real flop if Ozzy was the sole focus of the show, but as it happens he forms simply the swearing, doddling backdrop to the real stars of the show- his family.
A lot has been said about Sharon Osbourne, but one thing is for sure: she holds her family together. The show is a very candid examination of how this woman basically manages Ozzy at home and on stage, and it's fascinating to see their odd relationship on screen.
Kelly and Jack, two of Sharon and Ozzy's kids, are hilarious in their moodiness, laziness and untidiness - typical teenagers, and very relatable. The show received a lot of criticism for the constant swearing (beeped out on MTV but not censored on C4), but I just find it funny; Ozzy's bad language is just hilarious, and he can often be heard saying "for fu**'s sake Sharon" in his distinctive accent.
The show is also good because of the way it handled serious and sensitive issues, such as when Sharon had cancer. The whole process was shown on the program, and the reality of the situation was a touching thing to watch (not to mention an encouragement to those in a similar situation).
