Outer Limits, The

The Outer Limit is TV show that I have seen on various TV channels. It has been on BBC and some other channels on Sky. I like this show because it is more like science than fantasy, although fantasy could be in some elements of the story line. In the shows we find out what happens to people when things happen to them. Some of the stuff shown is hair raising. This show is between the twilight zone and the x files. Do not adjust your monitors! The Outer Limits has been around for a long time. This just goes to prove that all us sci-fi “freaks” just can’t get enough of this weird show. Some instalments are about aliens, others are about ghosts and the like, and yet others involve scientific adventures and invention. The story will easily have you hooked if this is your genre. Many up and coming actors have appeared in the more recent shows, and you will certainly recognise the faces from a lot of the episodes. When you think of sci-fi tv series the X-files is probably the one that springs to mind but The Outer Limits is just as good. Its stories runs along the same lines as the x-files with the usual UFO abuductions, mysterious murders and the like being the norm and although you might think "I've seen this before" The Outer Limits is different. It deals with the issues and story lines whereas the x-files focuses mainly on the two main characters making it more like a soap than a sci-fi programme. The Outer Limits goes where X files haven’t dared, its very weird, and exciting and with very thought provoking ideas. Some people out there have very strange imaginations, I wouldn’t suggest any one watching The Outer Limits if they have a weak stomach. Every week there is a very different story line. The basic premise is this:if you get lots of headaches, your body is probably inhabited by aliens, but you'll probably never know - so that's all right then. The Outer Limits started its new series on Sky One with another belting story. It's a sad indictment on British Television that we have to look to the Americans for well-written, 1 hour dramas: British TV seems to think that Emmerdale 5 times a week satisfies this need.
