Michael Parkinson ,has claim to His own unique talent ,to bring forth the real talent in other people,and to coax each star to reveal themselves.
His own naturalness helps this to happen,tonight was superb ,when he helped a real star to reveal his real talent and personality,the whole show was dedicated to Him ,the late Richard Harris.This show was filmed in 1973.
Richard showed himself to have natural talent ,as He related His life as an actor.
He told us how he, like many famous people didnt fare very well at school ,getting low marks,His unique sense of humour made light of this,he worked as a ratcatcher on His Fathers farm in Ireland,and brought the men out on strike ,for better pay,then later He fled Ireland to become an actor.

He spent three years in bed with Tuberculosis just prior to this ,which is where he studied Shakespeare ,this is where His role for Richard the third had its roots.

He is most remembered for His role as the King in Chamelot,and His song in the 70s *Macarthers park* I used to love this song ,and His voice.
He played many varied roles ,He showed through the program His ability to be very funny ,and play serious roles.

He will be missed by me and Im sure many people He died this last week on Thursday ,another victim of Cancer .
His last role was in a Harry Potter film.
I really enjoyed this Parkinson Show tonight ,that gave us a tour of His life and Films and His songs,one of which He sang.
We also heard one of his early Poems .Parky managed to show us the real Richard Harris .
