I love Peppa pig and I hope this review clearly explains why!

Who is Peppa?

Peppa pig is a piglet aged about 4-5 years old. She lives in a house with Mummy pig, Daddy pig and her little brother George who is about 18 months.

She is a friendly piglet that has just started school with her friends. All her friends names begin with the same letter as the animal begins with for example her best friend is 'Suzie Sheep'. There is 'Zoe Zebra', 'Candy Cat', and 'Pedro Pony'. Peppa love having fun with her friends and loves jumping in muddy puddles. She is very chatty and speaks very clearly. George is younger and says basic words like 'dinosaur'

Where do you find Peppa?

Peppa pig has become a big brand initially a 2D TV series that is aired regularly on Nickelodeon swell as Channel 5 in the mornings. It is a 5 minute programme that is very basic so young children can follow the storyline easily. The writers have designed the storylines cleverly so they have a very basic plot, nothing too much happens and no-one ever talks over any one so you do not get confused. The pictures are also very bold and again very basic. There is never anything happening in the background so young children focus on what is happening and don't seem to lose the concentration.

Our little girl got into Peppa when she was approximately 16months old and has been completely obsessed since.

So my reason for loving Peppa Pig:

Cleverly Channel 5 put it on in the morning at approximately 715 and 815 these are the times that parents are up and getting in the shower. I put channel 5 on and the minute the music starts I know I have 5 minutes to have a shower. This is perfect as I am aware she will not move and won't get distracted.

I have downloaded Peppa pig on my iPhone and regularly use it for moments when you really need your 2year old to either calm down or be quiet, a wedding, in a restaurant when you have waited over an hour for food, in a traffic jam, first thing in the morning if I am knackered. I do not use TV to bring up my child and she is only allowed 2 episodes at a time and she is not allowed it every day as I found she was becoming addicted and waking in the night wanting her.

Peppa pig has also helped our little one learn to count she has the Peppa pig laptop which has games she can play on, she is learning the alphabet with some of the branded toys.

What else Peppa:

Peppa has become massive for all children. There is now a 'Peppa pig world' which is a theme park set up for children as young as 6months. You have to pay for the adult tickets and children tickets are the same price at a whooping £21, children under 1metre are free. It has approximately 7 rides including a balloon ride, riding the clouds and 'Grandpa's little train'. It also has a water park you can go in which has puddles and fountains children can play in. There is an inside area which is soft play and is brilliant. It has been designed so children of all ages can enjoy it but parents can go in as well if their children need help. We went when our little one was 18months and she absolutely loved it. We had photos taken in Peppa pig's house with Peppa pig, we went into Peppa pig's house, and it was so cleverly set up and really well designed. We went first thing in the morning and didn't wait in any queues but it did get busy by lunch time.

You can also buy bedsets, furniture, bean bags, toys, pens, paper, bags and the list goes on. Peppa is now massive. We haven't gone too over the top she has some Peppa pig clothes and a bean bag but haven't got too much as they do grow out of it by the time they get to school I hear.

Summary:
I love Peppa pig, I think the branding is very clever, the show is well written and the theme park is fantastic but I would search around for a deal as for a family of five it £100 which is mega money and quite ridiculous but you do get to use the whole park. I love my five minutes of peace in the morning when I have a shower. I love the fact when we get into a pickle and we are out I can put Peppa on and know she will be an angel child while she watches it. I love the fact she loves Peppa and Peppa gives her comfort at night as she now sleeps with Peppa as a pillow.

I would definitely let any child watch Peppa it is inoffensive and with such a simple storyline they slowly learn things off it.

Summary: Definately recommend letting little ones watching this
