Even if we havent watched the show, almost all of us will have heard of the epidemic that was Pokemon, it was so massive 5-10 years ago (I know, it makes me feel old thinking it was that long ago too) that even though it first seemed to be just a craze, it still lingers around our shops and tv screens even now. Pokemon (short for Pocket Monsters) is a long running Japanese anime TV series spanning over around 11 seasons so far. The series starts off with Ash Ketchum, a 10 year old boy starting out on his journey to become a Pokemon trainer. All young trainers starting off get to choose from 3 different pokemon. Ash's choice are Bulbasaur a grass pokemon, Charmander, a fire pokemon, and Squirtle, a water pokemon. Pokemon is a kids' TV series, originating from Japan and based on a comic book of the same name. Initially just a cartoon series, it has led to a number of feature-length films, worldwide success, and the emergence of the spin-off, Digimon. Pokemon became well known about a decade ago. Pokemon is an amine series. it is based on the pokemon trainer / surely master by now Ash, and his friends misty and brock (or whoever else, and who can forget his best friend pikachu? He is on a quest to get the 8 gym badges to go into the pokemon league, on his way catching and training his pokemon to become a pokemon master. Lets face it the first series had a pretty much amazing theme song. And pikachu's jukebox songs were just great. Pokemon is a childrens cartoon which was first shown in the UK on Sky 1 which is liked by many people. When I first watched pokemon I enjoyed what I saw. I am addicted to Pokemon and watch it from Monday to Friday and haven't missed an episode. Pokemon means Poket Monsters. It is about three kids going around different towns and citys earning badges in Pokemon Battles. Pokemon battles are when they make monsters fight each other and see who wins.
