Pop-up videoNewest Review: ... because I can just veg out while my daughter is asleep for 1/2 hour or because it's so easy going, I don't know. My inital opinion of it was just to turn channels but one day after flicking through my useless set of channels half a dozen times I finally decided to give it a go. I couldn't wait for it to come on the next day. Shown on VH1 it's a music video show that plays the videos from mainly the 80's and 90's. It puts bubbles containing information about the band/artist, the making of that video and other general humourous connections on top. The theme music is corny but it all adds to the overall charm. ... more |

I happen to quite like Pop-Up-Video. I used to watch it all the time last summer on VH1 (where it's on at around lunchtime), and I think it's popped up (ho ho ho) on terrestrial tv too. Basically, it plays a few videos (it tends to be older stuff, from what I can remember, but this could have just been the run they were doing at the time) and has little Pop-Up boxes telling you interesting (or not so interesting) facts about the song. I think this is a good idea, and the show can be geniunely amusing. My Mum hates it though. She always picks up the little blooping noise that the pop-up boxes make, and it drives her mad. But if you can put up with ... Read the complete review
