Advantages: Gives some kids a chance

Disadvantages: Some will feel really let down

I have been watching popstars since the beginning. The idea of this show is to find another? girl/boy band. over 3,000 kids aged between 18-25 auditioned to get in this band.
Week by week they dwindle it down, getting rid of the most useless(and some good!!) singers.
I feel so sorry for those who don't make it, this is their dream chance of becoming a star.
Although a lot of them don't deserve to get through(have you heard them? do they really think they can sing? or are they doing it for a bet?!!) some have got real talent, more than some of the stars around today.
I thought that Hayley had a great voice and she's gone!! I really thought she might make it. Then there was Claire, brilliant voice but not the right size!! this was so cruel to reject her on this, it's supposed to be about talent and Claire certainly had that, I really hope someone recognises her and gives her a record deal of her own, I really do think she will be bigger than her size!!
Although they are only coming up to the 4th week and they are down to 30 hopefuls, the final five have already been chosen and are currently in the recording studio cutting their first single.
Good or bad, I expect their first single will be a hit after the success of the programme, but I really can't see it lasting, there are already enough, if not too many boy/girl bands around, do we really need another one?
These poor kids are working their socks off to make it big, if it doesn't last they will feel really down, I don't know who's idea it was for this, but have they really thought it through? These kids are giving up everything for this "band" lets hope for their sakes it's worth it!!
Although I know who the final five are, I shall still be glued to the end. it really is compulsive viewing!!

So the final five have been revealed, I already knew two weeks ago who they were as a sunday newspaper let it
out. However the five they chose look great together, get on well and sing great, apparently the group is to be called Inner spin, although I've heard they may change it as that got out as well!!
(They can't keep anything secret can they?)
I felt so sorry for the five who didn't get in, but made the final ten. I've heard that someone is going to take them and make a rival group!! Oh well, good luck to them all!!!
