Newest Review: ... So the show is not without its own particular blend of kitschy charm. I don't watch every single episode of 'Primeval' because the general story format a bit too repetitive. This is usually as follows. Some creature arrives in London through a time-rift, starts attacking / eating people then abruptly vanishes. The 'Primeval' investigation team are alerted; they blunder about for about 30 minutes trying to work out what the creature is, only to encounter it again and heroically dispatch it in the final stages of the episode. 'Primeval' is currently into its third series, the latest run of which is showing on Saturday nights on ITV (and then it's repeated on the ITV Freeview channel constantly throughout the following week). For those not already familiar with the concept, Primeval is a sort of science fiction / fantasy adventure show that features a variety of moderate to highly annoying prehistoric creatures arriving in modern-day London through a series of rifts in the space-time continumn. As the series has developed, so has a 'Stargate'-ish story line wherein it turns out that these time rifts have actually been engineered / controlled by some sort of ancient Egyptian ...  Read the complete review

This is the ITV's TV series that is designed to take you away from Dr Who on a staurday evening! It is currently in its third series and I am pleased to say that it has managed to retain its quality for the length of the show. I did think when it started that the story probabaly didn't have much further to go but the story writers have been quite clever and they have maanged to expand the plot lines with each series that progresses. The premise for the series it that holes or 'anomolies' open up in the the present which creates agateway to the past through which dinisuars can pass so we have had everything from sabre tooth tigers and horrible worm ...  Read the complete review
