I have been a huge fan of Prison break ever since I came across it. It was recommended to me from a few friends when series one was ending on Sky. Unfortunately I didnt have sky so I bought the DVD set rather than wait until it finally came onto channel five. By the end of the first episode I was addicted, and went on to buy and enjoy all three series of box sets, with series one being my favorite. Series one introduces the storyline to the viewer. Lincoln Burrows is found guilty of murdering the vice-president's brother and is set the death sentence. Only his brother, Michael Scofield, believes in his claims of innocence and so concocts an elaborate plan to break him out of jail. The twist is, he can only do it from the inside and so orchestrates to be arrested and sent to the same prison. Scofield is the brains of this piece, he can analyse multiple possible scenarios and has a MacGyver-esque ability to make situations work for him. He is also a deeply emphatic character which means that although he can see the best course of action, its affect on others may influence his decisions. ...  Read the complete review

It set off being one of the best new series on TV for ages. the first series was very addictive we loved it and the last few minutes of each episode left you desperate for the following week as we followed the build up to the attempted prison break out organised by Michael Scofield who only got himself locked up in order to help break out his brother who was on death row after being wrongly convicted of a murder. Michael had a very intricate tattoo all over his upper body which had hidden codes and maps / plans in it that only he could clearly decipher. Season two was also exiting as the group of escaped convict tried to evade capture and again left you waiting with ...  Read the complete review

This series is awesome and very suspenseful... I just cannot get enough of Prison Break and have got all 3 season so far. The series start off with Michael Schofield getting his arm tattoed, which is all part of a plan to get his brother out of prison, for a crime which he claims he did not commit. Michael's plan is to end up going to the same prison as his brother and to try break him out. The rest of the story is up to you to watch. I can really recommend this series to anyone and everybody, if you obviously have not seen it yet. I first watched this film about 2 years ago but missed a couple of series. After a while, you ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Prison Break: give me a break! (368 words)

WHAT IS IT ABOUT: This American drama series focuses on two brothers. When one is sentenced to death for a crime he didn't commit, his genius brother plans an elaborate escape. This includes getting himself admitted to the same prison, then covering his body with tattoos that contain coded information on each part of the escape. IS IT ANY GOOD: Deary me, here is a show that's a victim of its own success. When it began, the idea was original, and the thinking behind it was really intelligent: it was unpredictable, exciting and different. Not only that, it was a fairly realistic analysis of how to break out of a modern prison. For the first 4 or 5 ...  Read the complete review
