WHAT IS IT ABOUT:
Property expert Sarah Beeny offers her help to people embarking on their first attempt at property development. Following two projects in each show, she is on hand to offer sound advice on how to turn a profit, but will the developers listen?

The show is all about buying a property and rennovating it (for example, knocking one big bedroom into two, adding a downstairs loo and cream walls) then selling it on. Properties are valued at the start and end, costs are calculated, and profits worked out.

IS IT ANY GOOD?

This show shot to fame during the property boom a few years ago, when it was very possible to make a profit from buying and selling houses. With the current climate it's a lot harder to do the same thing, but the show is still a valuable and educational resource.

First up, Beeny. I know for a fact that a LOT of men around the country fell in love with the big breasted, deep voiced, confident blonde, and a lot husbands mysteriously got interested in property development at this time. Despite often being pregnant, Beeny became a real sex symbol, but it's not just that that makes her endearing. Put simply, this woman knows how to make a profit from domestic home rennovation, and she gives great advice in the show. Oddly, most people ignore it (to their peril), but that's part of the fun.

Secondly, it's educational, and you can learn a lot about how to do up and sell houses, including which major pitfalls to avoid. My dad used some of these to do the very thing the show is about, and turned a £20,000 profit from it, so I have first hand knowledge that it works!

IN CONCLUSION:
An excellent show that is very educational as well as entertaining.
