Advantages: Great Plot lines. Good characters. Lots of episodes. Can watch 1 at a time.

Disadvantages: No continuing story arc. Dissapointing conclusion.

Quantuam Leap is a TV show which started in 1989 & ran until 1993. It starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett & followed his adventures in time.

The premise of the show is that Sam believed that he could time travel within his own lifetime. He led a team of scientists in an effort to build a time machine. They succeeded & Sam used the machine to travel back in time.

Sam awoke in the past in the body of someone else. He was only able to leap once he had saved the life of the person he was in who was destined to die. Sam then leapt into another person. This is a premise which is explained at the begining of each episode in the following monologue.

"Theorizing that one could travel within his own lifetime, Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator, and vanished.
He awoke to find himself trapped in the past, facing mirror images that were not his own, and driven by an unknown force to change history for the better. His only guide on this journey is Al; an observer from his own time, who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. And so, Dr. Beckett finds himself leaping from life to life, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap, will be the leap home."

The show has lots of neat touches. Sam sometimes creates history. One example is teaching a you boy how to Moonwalk. His name is Michael.

It is a classic Sci-fi show. Very entertaining. Lots of different plot lines which cover different eras topics & themes. Definitely worth watching an episode.

Summary: A great piece of Sci-Fi Television. Have a look

You say nothing about the storylines that went on for five years, only moderately touching on the original premise, and you also say nothing about production values or the cast. I would rate higher.

Bakula is tight-casted into the role of Sam. Life will be never the same again. better go back in time and sort it!
