Advantages: Funny, unusual, genius, Scott Bakulas acting is amazing, really entertaining

Disadvantages: They should have made more than 96 episodes :(

Im not really much of a sci-fi fan so when my boyfriend suggested that we watch a few episodes of Quantum Leap together, i have to admit that i wasnt looking forward to it. If you have never heard of Quantum Leap before, it is an American show that was broadcast between 1989 and 1993.

It stars the amazing Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. Its unusual for a show to have such a small number of actors but i completely loved it and would now say its one of the best shows ive ever watched.

The story centres around Scott Bakulas character Sam Beckett. Sam is a very intelligent scientist who becomes lost in time after leaping into it when an experiment went wrong. Dean Stockwells character Al appears only to Sam in the form of a hologram to be his guide.

Only Sam was able to see and hear him apart from a few other selected people throughout the lifetime of the show.

What i completely love about the show is the fact that you dont know whats going to happen in the next episode. Sam usually jumps into the bodies of other people in the past and has been sent there or leaped there to fix a problem in their lives.

Once he has helped out, he then leaps into another person. Its really funny as Sam has jumped into some female bodies as well as male and has even played a pregnant teenage girl. I think Scott Bakula is an amazing actor as in each episode he is constantly playing different roles which i think would be very hard to do for any actor.

Al is also brilliant as his friend as he goes after women all the time and is just so funny. I remember an episode where Sam leaps into Al himself as a young boy. It was brilliant!

Ive watched loads of episodes of this show but there are some i havent seen yet that i cant wait to watch. Each episode is really exciting as Sam knows that if he doesnt help solve the problem he is there to solve that he wont leap and will stay in that persons body forever.

Each time Sam leaps into a new persons body he says "Oh Boy!" Each episode of Quantum Leap lasts for around 45 minutes and there were 96 episodes of the show in total. There were five seasons altogether and i really wish there had have been more as i absolutely loved it! Its very addictive viewing and each episode is always different from the last.

I recommend watching this show to everyone as you dont have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy it. I certainly wasnt and i completely fell in love with watching it! Well recommended viewing! You can buy the complete boxset of the whole show for just £59.89 from Sendit.com which i think is a great bargain!

Summary: Watch it
