Rainbow was my favourite children's TV programme growing up and I am sure my toddler would love it today if they showed the re-runs! Jeffrey was so eager and keen and just seemed like the sort of person who had endless energy. Zippy was hilarious and it was so funny when he got into a scrape or said something he shouldn't and Bungle, George or Jeffrey would zip his mouth shut. Rod, Jane and Freddy livened things up with a bit of singing and dancing and I always thought Jane was so pretty. Bungle scared me a bit though. He was just very big and awkward (I am sure he was meant to appear as cuddly) but compared to Zippy and George, he wasn't quite so appaealing to me as a child. George always spoke in a rather nasal way (I guess because he was a hippo)! Yes, Rainbow reminds me of a care free childhood! I can't remember exactly what happened in any of the episodes but they were always learning about something, making something or teaching a moral in a fun way.
