Advantages: Good jokes, enternaning

Disadvantages: the last few series were not as good

This is one of my favourite comedy shows it set in the future aboard a mining vessel called Red Dwarf.

It is based around 4 central characters after a radiation leak killings the rest of the crew, leaving Lister a slob, Rimmer a hologram, Cat a decent of a housecat and Kryton a humanoid android.

Three million years after the radiation leak the story begins and the hapless crew have to work together to try to make there way back to Earth.

Each episode is based around a central plot for that episode with little side plots that span across several episodes so watching them in order is recommended so you understand some of the jokes.

With it being set in the future the options open to the producers was pretty limitless they come across alien life form, killer robots, time distortions and many other scenarios.

Recently some new episodes have been announced so will have to look out for them when they come.

Summary: A good comedy
