Advantages: The executive woman was good eye candy

Disadvantages: script, cast, forced humour

The original was not a masterpiece and of course a comedy rather than drama. However there was something warm about the writing and the characters that seeped pleasantly into our inner selves and our society. The re-make was a bit pointless from an artistic view point. The characters were under developed and unbelievable. I did not laugh at any stage during the 6 episodes. With the first 5 episodes there was a very minor element of suspension so the poor final episode was not a disappointment in that expectations were very low. Most annoying characters were the mother, the father in law, the secretary and the wellness woman. The 2 nerds must have slipped under the 'annoyed' radar as some stage. Mrs Perrin was bland and just a bit pleased with herself. Gags were forced and unfunny. CJ was almost amusing but too contrived. Expected Neil Morrissey to turn up!

Summary: if your going to take a risk and fail at least go down fighting. Dull.
