Ren & Stimpy

Newest Review: ... basic premise of the show is a cat and dog, although you can't tell what either of them are supposed to be, living together and basically having uninteresting adventures which are all very funny. The show's humour seems aimed at younger people, but it can be equally enjoyed by more liberally-minded adults as a lot of it is very good material. Everything is stressed, and the episodes often focus on believable factors of life. Although a lot of them are just silly. I'd reccomend Ren and Stimpy to anyone who likes things that are a little strange but funny, as it deserves to be appreciated as much more than a kid's show. ... more

Ren & Stimpy has not graced BBC screens for years now, but was the hilarious invention of "John K" for Nickelodeon in America. Premium Review Watch De Show, You Sick Little Monkey! (132 words)

Ren, the irritable, violent chihuahua with insatiable greed, and Stimpy, the large, stupid cat with foul habits, adventure everywhere from Planet X to Canada (as the Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen). The show is sharp, witty, violent, and screamingly funny. Veins pulse, snot oozes, noses bounce, and some of the characters sing the most hilarious songs. There is a cast of occasionally seen animals, all of them surly. Even the sound track is amusing. Some of the themes and actions are not quite suitable for the very young, but compared to South Park nothing is too lewd or disgusting. One of my favourite shows is 'Don't Whiz onthe Electric Fence' and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ren & Stimpy: Yes Sir, I like it. (458 words)

Ren and Stimpy was the product of the warped minds at Spumco and in particular John Kricfalusi for Nickelodian. It was aimed at children, but there was just so much in it that was surreal, twisted or sick enough to be appreiciated by adults. At some point in the second series Nickelodian unsurprisingly became concerned about some of the shows content and sacked Kricfalusi. Unfortunately, from that point on an element of the twisted humour was gone and the show never quite lived up to its early episodes again. There was still enough bizareness for it to stand out from other cartoons though. Ren is an overly aggresive chihuahua whose temper easily explodes and who ...  Read the complete review

Ren & Stimpy is a former favourite cartoon of mine from several years ago. It always used to be on right around tea-time and involved some of the funniest, even if extremely crude humour. Mothers everywhere squirm as there innocent young children are subjected to the disgusting, very graphically represented antics of the duo. But, wasn't it brilliant! It has been several years now since I have seen it. Then there were the "guests" in it such as the famous 'Powdered Toast Man' who always seemed to have an extreme problem with 'excess gases' coming from his posterior. The advert breaks advertising the ever popular ...  Read the complete review
