Revista De La LigaNewest Review: ... information, i don't see how this can be disregarded seeing as Guillem Balague is the main man on this show and i don't see how the audience can allow him to be given the right to talk a load of nonsense and let the British public digest his words as gospel. Not only is most of the things he says in this hourly show untrue, his "transfer gossip" is beyond absurd with him being 70% ... more |

After seeing the reviews so far for Revista de la Liga on Dooyoo, i decided to give my opinion on this show. It seems this show is highly regarded amongst viewers, but i just can't see this at all, maybe you need to be in the full know of Spanish Football to see what this show is really about. I've given it a max 2 out of 5 this show, it seems like they love to talk about Pep Guardiola and everything he does instead of the real important issues of Spanish Football...plus they give very ill-formed judgements on various subjects, specifically from the mouth of Guillem Balague who most of the time speaks falsely and largely gives the audience false information, i ... Revista de la Liga is Sky Sports Spanish football highlights show, which is really more of a Spanish football discussion show than a highlights show. I say this because, unlike Match of the Day on the BBC where the highlights are shown then there is a 5 minute or so analysis on the game, on Revista they quickly go through the goals (very little other highlights) then don't really analyse the performance, but more talk about what's going on in general with the team and the overall club. The show is dominated mainly by Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the other clubs not really getting a look in (Valencia & Atletico get a mention usually because there in ... Read the complete review

I'm a big fan of the Spanish football and enjoy watching the live games that Sky have on every weekend. Invariably it's Barcelona and Real Madrid, but they often show my adopted Spanish team, Valencia. However, if the Valencia game isn't being showing live, I can catch-up with all the action thanks to Sky's highlights programme Revista de la Liga. Revista is broadcast every week on a Tuesday night, usually around 6pm with repeats throughout the early hours of the following morning. It's presented by the likeable Mark Bolton who is joined in the studio by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague. The duo discuss the week's events in La Liga and often cross live ... As a Spanish teacher and football fan I have been an ardent follower of Sky's coverage of Spanish football since it began, although like the previous reviewer I do sometimes get sick of the regular diet of Real Madrid/Barcelona v whoever they are playing home or away every weekend. 'Revista de La Liga' does, as he suggests, also spend rather too much time on the big two, but at least it does find the time to talk about most of the other 18 teams after the various clips from the previous week's action are shown. I very rarely watch the show live, as this gives you the opportunity to delve into it during the bits which are of most interest to you - if you ... Read the complete review

I am a regular viewer of the weekly Revista de la Liga football programme on Sky Sports 1. This is basically a Spanish equivalent of Match of the Day, which most of you will be familiar with. Gary Lineker is replaced by Mark Bolton; Guillem Balague (in the studio) and Graham Hunter (usually joining via the phone or video link, but sometimes in the studio) act as Mark Lawrenson, Alan Hansen and/or Alan Shearer. And, obviously, rather than focusing on the English Premier League, the attention is centred on the Spanish top flight football division - La Liga. The format of the programme is essentially Mark Bolton introducing the piece, regularly provoking ... Read the complete review
