Richard Blackwood Show, The

Newest Review: ... well known, he has developed some sort of immense ego. The ego reflects in both his TV show and in the music he has been making. He tends to want the cameras to focus on him and him alone. The lyrics to his songs also emphasise his own self-importance with him singing about "RB bein da man" etc etc and boring self centeredly etc...... I have not seen that much of his TV show so I can't really comment on the content of the show. My gripe lies with the presenter and his obsession for himself. ... more

Richard Blackwood used to be quite good on MTV and I found him pretty amusing. However, since he became more famous and more well known, he has developed some sort of immense ego. The lyrics to his songs also emphasise his own self-importance with him singing about "RB bein da man" etc etc and boring self centeredly etc...... Is this show meant to be funny? During the entire show Richard Blackwood will tell about 2 jokes, on in each half of the show. He'll also interview 'has beens' or 'never will bes,' attempt to freestyle but can never string more than 2 lines together and all this with a fake jamaican accent. When he was only on mtv I'd see him and think "yeah, he says funny things every now and then." When I heard he had his own show coming out on channel 4 I was anticipating it's arrival but to be honest it's a complete waste of 30 minutes... and i'm not even gonna start on his music. The feeling I get from him is ...  Read the complete review

Richard Blackwood Show comes on channel four but I furst used to watch him on MTv where he used to present Select MTv for quite a while, I liked him now and watched him now and he still hosts a show on MTV, nut I don't really like this show I can't think why, it does not appeal to me so I hardly ever watch it. I think he was much better on MTV. In my view Richard Blackwood should leave the comedy and singing to other's and just stick to hosting which I think he does best. You might think differently. ...  Read the complete review

Allthough I think that Richard is an absolutley awfull presenter on MTV's Select show I have to say that on his own show he does show signs of improvement his presenting skills have improved with the few shows that he has presented and now Richard competing with rival host DJ Trevor Nelson to host an award ceromeny!!!I think that Richard is certainly getting better as a presenter but he need's to concentrate harder and cut out the awfull music career!!! ...  Read the complete review

Richard Blackwood, the British Will Smith, gee i hope not. He had his place on MTV , he was mildly interesting and amusing, but why give him his own programme on channel 4? The first series of this show has already finished, but it used to air at 11 o clock on a week night with a repeat at the weekend. The format of the Richard Blackwood show is basically chat and music. He tended to have some pretty good guests on, along with top music artists with whom both chatted and performed in the programme. He also involves the audience quite a lot asking their opinions and quite frequently just embarrassing them. I have to admit that i see this as a male version ...  Read the complete review
