Advantages: A varied selection of guests
Disadvantages: Richard sometimes interupts & talks with his mouth full!
'Richard and Judy', former presenters of 'This Morning', are now presenting their own daytime show on Channel 4 - aptly named 'Richard and Judy'! This is a lifestlye programme. It is aired each and every weekday at 5pm and lasts for 1 hour.
What I like about the programme is that they have a varied selection of guests on there every day. Today, for instance, they had Noel Edmunds on the show (27 July '06). They have interviewed many people ranging from J K Rowling (26 June '06), Barry Manilow (04 March '05) and Ben Affleck (12 January '04).
Although each show has the same standard layout each day, the content is different. They cover topical issues that could be something that has been on the news or in the newspapers. They will get certain experts in to discuss these issues and, as with any discussion, there'll be someone who disagrees which makes the discussion more interesting!
Each series of 'Richard and Judy' they hold a book club. Over the course of the series they will review 6 books. They get members of the public to read them and give their personal thoughts on the book concerned. Richard & Judy will then have a couple of celebrities in the studio to discuss the book. Indeed, through their book club I went and bought a book called 'The Lovely Bones' by Anna Sebould. I found this book really enjoyable to read!
If you don't want to read, then why not join their wine club? Each day they have been reviewing a different wine and, like with the books, members of the public will try this wine, and certain wine experts too, and give their opinions on the wine.
Then there is the daily competition called 'You Say - We Pay'. You phone in and give you answer to a really easy question. If you are the lucky chosen one, then you could be in with a chance of winning a few thousand pounds! All you have to do is tell Richard and Judy what you are looking at. They may, for instance, put a picture up of a red rose. You have to try and explain to them what you are looking at without saying the word. If they correctly tell you what you are looking at, this will give you £1,000. Not bad, 'eh? Most people don't normally get past the £8,000 mark, but if you're really good you might!
The only critisism I have of the show is that sometimes Richard can be a little bit rude. I have found that he sometimes interrupts conversations and embarrasses Judy with his remarks sometimes. And he also talks with his mouth open. That really irritates me! But apart from that, I like the bloke.
The studio is light and airy. It is nice and colourful and not dull at all. Sometimes in the summer time they will go and sit outside infront of the fish tank, which I like looking at!
All in all, this is an entertaining show with a plethera of guests on and topical issues to discuss.
Thanks for reading!
Louise

Summary: Good show apart from Richard eating with his mouth open!

- 01/10/06 Richard is just a horrible person, I once saw him on another show (some panel show, can't remember what it was cos I switched off). He was Mr Nasty Guy on there and his language was dreadful. I don't know why Judy puts up with such an arrogant husband.I would soon tell him where to go!! |

- 28/07/06 I think they are quite sweet but annoying at the same time. x |

- 28/07/06 They are by far THE worst interviewers around, and Richard should shut up once in a while and let Judy get a word in. He always interrupts and talks over people, very unprofessional. And their 'star' interviews are usually days after the celebrity has been on every other stations already. |
