On this programme, currently airing for an hour at 8pm on BBC2 on Thursdays, the famous 'man-who-owns-Padstow' sea-food telly chef and restauranteur Rick Stein is touring various countries in the Far East and sampling the local cuisines. So far he has visited (amongst other countries) Cambodia, Thailand, Malyasia and India, where he has taken in the spectacular local scenery and some of the main cities and tourist sights, visited a lot of traditional markets and food-producers, hob-nobbed with some of the local TV and other professional chefs, and on occasion even got round to cooking the odd county-centric meal.
