Robin Of Sherwood

Newest Review: ... of ancient times. Herne turns out to be not a god but a man, a priest of the old religion who tells Robin that he is the rightful receiver of the position of guardian of the old ways, champion of the forest laws and must defend against the tyrannies of the church and state and the black arts that they often resort too. These black arts featured in a number of episodes when the occasional wizard, all done in low-key fashion, pitched his might against Robin and his cause. Originally shown on ITV this tool the Robin Hood story and added Black Magic and darker characters. Two actors Michael Pare and Jason Connery played the lead roll Robin. It has been repeated on Granada Plus sometime ago and I seriously doubt it would be shown again (could be wrong). Guest appearances from some well-known stars were included and nothing much else. Although I did watch all the series I wasn’t a big fan I don’t know why but I didn’t like it at all. If you like Robin Hood tale then to be honest this is nothing like it avoid it and don’t waste your money buying videos. ...  Read the complete review
