Ross Kemp on Gangs is the Sky1 BAFTA award winning documentary series. During the four series' this show has explored the gang culture in many countries and cities including Jamaica, El Salvador, East Timor, London and Liverpool. For me this series was quite an eye opener on how bad the gang situation is and also the different gangs that operate around the world including the Neo Nazi Gangs of Moscow and Poland, the Roma pick pocketing gangs operating in London from Bulgaria and the teenage gangs in Liverpool and London of which have produced many young victims of murder including Rhys Jones and Billy Cox. I find this show informative and interesting as it also shows was the various police forces are doing to help curb this gang phenomenon although I think they are fighting a losing battle. I think Ross Kemp was the right person to present this type of show as he has a good presenting style but I think he was probably picked because he is well known for his portrayal as hard man Grant Mitchell in Eastenders. Overall this is a great documental series.
