Roswell high is set in the town of Roswell,new mexico.
It is about a group of friends 3 of which are some of the aliens from the ufo crash of 1947.

Max and Liz are the main characters, Liz is a high school student, who also works in her parents cafe aptley called the crashdown!!
When Liz gets shot in an argument at the cafe
Max saves her life using his "abilities"
This is how Liz finds out Max is an alien.

Most of season 1 the aliens (Max,Michael and Isabel) try and figure out where they are from.Also at the start of the season the sheriff is suspicious of Max,Michael and Isabel,but when a alien hunter trys to kill Max the sheriff steps in to save him.
From then on the sheriff seems to be on the kids side.

The show is more romance than sci-fi, but towards the end of season one it does get more into the sci-fi.
I think this show has a long way to go before it could be considered a good sci fi show.

But they are promising more sci-fi elements in the second season, so fingers crossed it may get better.
So summing up an average show with some promise.
