Advantages: Fantastic show from the '90s.

Disadvantages: Ran a little too long for me

Sabrina the teenage witch started in 1996 and ended in 2003 after 7 seasons. It was shown on Nickelodeon.

Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart) found out she was a witch on her 16th birthday while living with her 2 aunts, Hilda (Caronline Rhea) and Zelda (Beth Broderick), along with their cat Salem (Nick Bakay).

As Hilda and Zelda are Sabrina's guardians they have to tell her how to use her magic properly but something always seems to go wrong which has resulted in the most popular girl in school being turned into a pineapple and 2 of the guys she likes having to partake in a kind of death match for her.

Sabrina freaks out a little bit at all the new things she learns, especially the fact that Salem, the cat, can talk. Hilda and Zelda have to look after Salem after he got turned into a cat after trying to take over the world. Salem tries to help Sabrina but he normally has ulterior motives and ends up getting her into some sort of trouble.

Sabrina's main love interest is Harvey Kinkle (Nate Richert) and she often ends up putting lots of spells on him to cover for her wierd actions. The problem with that is that mortals have a spell limit. Harvey eventually finds out that Sabrina is a witch and has to come to terms with it.

Thorughout the years we follow Sabrina and her friends as she goes through High School, College and eventually gets a job as a journalist. Like any young woman, she has lots of problems which we get to go through with her.

Sabrina also had a lot of cameo appearances by some really big stars like Britney Spears, Penn and Teller, N Sync and Debbie Harry.

As well as the tv series, 3 films were made and was eventually made into an animated series. I dont really think any of the films were any good though, it would have been a lot better if they fit more with the tv show somewhere but apart from Sabrina, all of the characters are totally random.

This was one of my favourite shows as a kid and i still love it now. It's extremely silly but thats what makes it so good. The main characters work really well together and have great chemisty. The only thing i didnt really like about the show was the relationship between Sabrina and Harvey. It just didnt feel very real to me and although i was happy she ended up with him at the end of the show, it wasnt very believable as he had been away for so long.

Salem was probably my favourite character but from most people who i know who have watched this really liked him too. He always had some witty one liners and i dont think the show would have been any where near as good without him.

Im glad the show ended when it did because after 6 years it was starting to get a little boring and not much was new anymore. I think any more seasons would have totally killed the show for a lot of its fans. Its a good job the writers introduced new characters all of the time otherwise i think i would have got bored with it sooner.

Summary: Its a classic!!

I liked it, good memories. The show had quite an ironic name considering Melissa Joan Hart was 20 when the show started hehe ;) tom
