Advantages: funny, family viewing
Disadvantages: none
I enjoy watching Sabrina and her family and the antics they get up to. This is good, clean harmless family viewing and there is always a good story to each episode. Sabrina lives with her aunts, Hilda and Zelda, and they are witches. Grandma is also a witch but she only 'appears' on the odd ocassion. She has lots of very odd male aquaintances including an actor and a sea captain. My favourite was where Sabrina had to take tests to become a fully fledged witch and she had to learn the family secret. We never got to know what that was but she suceeded. The star of this show has to be Salem, the black cat. He too has magical powers as he was once a warlock who was turned into a cat for 100 years as a punishment for trying to take over the world. The comments he makes are hilarious. I don't think that the programme would be as funny without him. That cat is so sarcastic! Sabrina who is only half witch, on her father's side, is well played by Melissa Joan Hart. She seems to fit into the role very easily. Her onscreen boyfriend is called Harvey. He is always getting involved in her spells but he isn't supposed to know about magic because he is mortal so she keeps giving him potions to remove his memory. The programme is shown on ITV at 4.30 on a Tuesday and Sky Digital at various times. It's really aimed at older teenagers but is suitable for the whole family.
