Advantages: very funny, good actors
Disadvantages: ~
Sabrina Spellman is a typical American teenager. At least she was until she was told on her 16th birthday that her father is a warlock. Half witch herself, Sabrina 9played brilliantly by Melissa Joan Hart) is sent off to Boston to live with her 2 witch aunts Hilda & Zelda. The aunts have to teach her how to use her magic that she has inherited and guide her on her way to gaining her witch's lisence. Sharing the house with the 3 spellbinding females is Salem Saberhagan, a warlock in a cat's body. He was sentanced to 100 years as a cat for plotting to take over the mortal world. Salem still has dominant tendancies, often leaving the girls to sort out the messes he gets himself into. He is also impossibly greedy, always thinking about his next meal! As Sabrina learns to control her magic, her boyfriend Harvey Kinkle and her best friend Valerie often find themselves on the reeiving end of her wayward spells. They never uncover her secret though, thanks to a seemingly unlimited supply of brain-washing potion! Libby is Sabrina's nemesis, always tring to steal Harvey from her and determined to find out why Sabrina is so 'weird'. The show is full of laughs and adventures. There is never a dull moment. I've watched this show for nearly 5 years. At first I only suffered it for my daughter's sake, but I now look forward to seeing it myself. It is screened every evening on Nickeloeon at around 5pm. I've enjoyed watching the development of Sabrina's character. She has her magic fairly well under control now, but in the past she's turned Libby onto a goat and a pineapple, to name but 2. She has bought herself an other realm car which talks and won't sleep anywhere other than her bedroom. She has thrown halloween parties that should have been disasters because of talking furniture and real monsters, but her mortal friends thought that they were just awsome halloween tricks. S
abrina The Teenage Witch is great viewing for the whole family, an ideal way of spending an hour on a wet day.
