If you have read many of my earlier reviews, you no doubt have picked up on the fact that I adore manga and anime. I first cut my anime teeth back in the day with Robotech when it first aired on American television, and given my adoration of pulp sci fi and fantasy, the genre caught my attention big time. It is probably not surprising therefore that my children are also big time anime and manga fans, with this being a current fave of my younger two children. Being a fan of Sailor moon ever since it was first released to the UK audience on "Fox Kids" I have recently started watching the whole series all over again. May I say, that it is probably one of the best anime's ever, the story line is perfect, and the characters are very entrancing and likeable. One of the most loveable characters would have to be Darien known as "Tuxedo Mask". Despite the fact that he is a cartoon character he has girls swooning over him in real life. So what is Sailor Moon about? Well, I’ll start from the beginning. Sailor Moon was created by (then) 24-year-old Takeuchi Naoko, who was given an idea by her editor to dress her heroines in sailor suits. She came up with Wa Sailor V. The story of Aino Minako, a 13-year-old girl who was your everyday teenager until one day playing volleyball she hit a white cat with a crescent moon on its forehead.
