I have been watching this show a lot for the last few weeks and have completely fallen in love with how great it is. If you have never heard of Samantha Who, it is a hilarious American sitcom starring Christina Applegate as main character Samantha. Samantha is a 30 year old who works in real estate. The first episode shows her waking up from a coma after being hit by a car. When she wakes up doctors discover that she has retrograde amnesia. This means she cant remember who she is, any of her family and friends or anything from her past. Samantha Who is an America sitcom that has been shown on E4 here since the first series and is quite a funny show. It is on the second season now and is shown on Monday evenings at 10pm. In the first episode we first meet the title character Samantha. She is just coming out of an 8 day coma after being hit by a car. She finds out that she has retrograde amnesia and even though she knows how to go about daily life she has no idea who she is or what her past life was like. Samantha Who is an America sitcom that is shown on E4 here in England and is generally quite a funny show that I enjoy watching. It's in its second season now and is shown on Monday evenings at 10pm. The idea for the show came from Cecelia Ahern, the Irish novelist who wrote the very popular book, PS, I love you, among others. Christina Applegate is excellent in the latest smash hit American comedy to reach these shores and appear on E4. She plays the director of a housing company who loses her memory when se is involved in a car accident, the comedy in this stcom comes from her attempts to regain her memory and also to make up for some of the bad things she did before the accident as she was not a nice person in what is effectively her former life and persona. Some of her friends miss the old Sam while many like the new improved version including her former boyfriend Todd who she has no memory of dating nor does she remember why they broke up. My boyfriend does not like this while I love it so it is safe to say that this is the sort of American comedy that will appeal to women more than men, a bit like Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. Christina Applegate stars as the lead role of Sam, a young woman based in Chicago who loses her memory after a hit and run accident and the storyline effectively follows her attempt to regain her past and learn about herself again. A bit like My Name is Earl Sam also tries to make up for any of the bad deeds she has done in her previous life.
