Defying Gravity ... Gravity is a recent U.S import, being shown currently on BBC2, that has been loosely termed "Grey s Anatomy in space." In its first week, the show was pretty much panned by T.V critic Alison Graham in her Radio Times column but, having been intrigued by the trailer for the show, I decided to go against what seemed like popular opinion and make up my own bloody mind! And I am glad to say that this proved to be a good decision on my part as Defying Gravity is certainly one of the better U.S imports that I have seen grace our screens.... Defying Gravity ... gravity is a TV program set in 2052 based around a team of Astronauts flying on a six year flight through the solar system. The show features eight astronauts as they fly through the solar system, the first rendevous is Venus but the show starts with the ship in Earths orbit. The show uses the Lost concept of the endless flashback method for explaining the back stories of the eight astronauts. The flashbacks cover their astronaut training and other events and seeks to explain the problems the crew is having as it flies away from Earth.
