Doctor Who TV Series ... who has been on Tv since 1963 and over 750 episodes broadcast on the bbc. It is about a time travelling alien who is called the Doctor; there has been 10 doctors at the moment with the current doctor being played by the amazing actor David Tennent; however David Tennent will be leaving over the coming new year and taking his place will be the youngest ever doctor Matt Smith. The doctor travelles time and space in his Tardis (space ship). He always seems to stumble across aliens and monsters that are trying to destroy the earth and sometimes even the universe. The 4400 ... 4400 is a strange program, as it appeals to many different demographics. You ve got the sci-fi stuff for the geeks, humour for the comedy-lovers, and some very well-written storylines for the people that like to create emotional attachments to the characters they re watching. The basic premise of the series is that 4,400 people disappeared from the face of the earth over the last 50 years, and are all returned at exactly the same moment. They weren t all taken at once though, so some of the characters react better to their new surroundings than others. Fringe ... i have now become a victim of the credit crunch, i spend more time at home than i do hunting out the latest red wine at the local. This means i watch more tv and Fringe interested me because i like something with edge. Fringe has it in bucket loads. Based around unexplained phenomenon of the murdering kind, FBI agent Olivia Dunham enlists the help of Peter Bishop. Peter is played by the delightful Joshua Jakson, once of Dawson s Creek fame. Because the spread of phenomenon is getting out of control, the FBI enlist the help of Peter s father, Dr Walter Bishop, who absolutely steals the show.
