... 4400 is a strange program, as it appeals to many different demographics. You ve got the sci-fi stuff for the geeks, humour for the comedy-lovers, and some very well-written storylines for the people that like to create emotional attachments to the characters they re watching. The basic premise of the series is that 4,400 people disappeared from the face of the earth over the last 50 years, and are all returned at exactly the same moment. They weren t all taken at once though, so some of the characters react better to their new surroundings than others.
