Weis83j Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: ... a TV version of a big screen super film I think this show is very enjoyable and uses what it has to its best ability. There may not be the budget or time for huge set pieces or sequences in each episode but it does give the characters more room and time to breathe on screen. The plot does move along and gives a closer view of John Connor s teenage years, being set between the second and third films. The dialogue...

manonfireuk Quantum Leap
... is a tv show I started watching when I was a teenager. There are 5 series in total and I ve just bought them all on dvd and I m loving watching them again. The story follows Dr Samuel Beckett who has created a time machine that allows the user to travel back and forth through their own lifetime. In order to prove that the machine works he steps into the machine himself and vanishes! When he wakes he finds himself in a body that is not his own and he has lost his memory. That is until Al appears who is an observer from Sam s time who appears in the form of a hologram that only Sam can see and hear. Al s job is to help Sam get home and to leap . Sam can only le...

jazz_mavericks Star Trek - The Next Generation
... many ways, Star Trek: The Next Generation is far superior to the original series, with William Shatner as Captain Kirk. This version, set many years after the original, is now captained by Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), a thinking man s captain instead of Kirk s brute force and arrogance. Now blessed with much better special effects, due to a much larger budget, the show can also boast some fine actors amongst the crew, even if some of them can seriously overact at times, and would surely give Shatner a run for his money. The one most guilty of this, in my opinion, is Picard s second in command, William Riker, played by Jonathan Frakes. Frakes, a staple of TV, ...

... that it was possible to time travel within one s own lifetime, Dr Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished!" And with this, the time travelling adventures of Dr Sam Beckett begin! Sam (Scott Bakulla) is lost in time, unable to get back to his own time, leaping around from life to life, trying to correct mistakes in the life of the person that he has become, to ensure that they have a better future. The person he leaps into, swaps places with him in the future, but the people around Sam can only see him as the person he has become. As an added problem to Sam on his leaps, the experiment has left him with a Swiss cheese...
