Scooby DooNewest Review: ... kept me quiet. One thing I have to say is that when I was younger I used to find Scooby Doo's nephew, Scrappy Doo very annoying and hated it when he was on. Am I the only one who wished he would disappear! He is only in the newer episodes so it's always nice to see an older one without him in it. In later episodes they also introduced Scooby's cousin Scooby-Dum who is a great dane. Fred and ... more |

Scooby Doo is a children's cartoon featuring a dog, he is part of Mystery Inc along with Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy. They drive around in the Mystery Machine van and solve mysteries. They normally expose ghostly goings on as being elaborate hoaxes by various villains. The series first aired in 1969 and has continued to the present day. William Hanna and Joseph Barbera produced this cartoon series. Scooby Doo is something I used to watch all the time when I was little, i'm pretty sure this drove my mum mad but I suppose it also kept me quiet. One thing I have to say is that when I was younger I used to find Scooby Doo's nephew, Scrappy Doo very annoying and ... Read the complete review

Timeless classic. A phrase that should be reserved for those shows that will stand the test of time and never be outdated. Such a show is hard to come by, however in Scooby Doo, such a show exists! Scooby Doo is a talking dog, who, along with sidekick Shaggy (a cowardly teenager), bring comic humour to the action. There are 3 other members of the crew, who are Fred, Velma and Daphne. The plot throughout each episode is that the 5 of them travel around in their mystery machine (van) and usually unwittingly stumble across a mystery to solve. However, there usually involves ghosts and monsters, which scare the life out of Scooby and Shaggy and lead ... Read the complete review

In my opinion, alongside possibly Tom and Jerry and The Flintstones, Scooby Doo is one of the greatest cartoons ever made. The show actually began in 1969 under the title 'Scooby Doo - Where Are You?'. Since then it has gone on to spawn various other cartoon spin offs and had a revival in the middle of this decade due to the two feature length movies made about the characters. Like the aforementioned shows as well as other classics, Scooby was the brain child of the Hannah and Barbara camp and its fair to say that the show was on fine form until the irritating Scrappy Doo was introduced in the late 1980s though it seems that people saw sense and the runt was ... I simply had to do a quick summary of this wonderful show, it is STILL on, the jokes never wear thin and it is one of the most enduring cartoons I have ever experienced. Who is Scooby Doo: A loveable and nervy dog, who finds himself solving mysteries with his friends Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma and sometimes Scrappy Doo. They travel in the Mystery Machine (a sort of van affair) My thoughts on the show: * The villians are always easy to identify, acting suspicious in the early stages of the show, though trying to work out who it might be still keeps the show exciting * Shaggy is a strong character, relying on ... It might surprise you to know that Scooby-Doo started back in 1969 and was originally titled Scooby Doo, Where Are You?! Scooby-Doo, for those of you who don't know, is a Great Dane and is the friend of four young people who go around America looking to unmask ghosts who are causing havoc in mainly Southern states. They literally do unmask them too because it usually turns out that the ghost is someone they have encountered earlier in the episode and they have donned ghostly clothing and glow in the dark paint to put fear into the hearts of their friends and neighbours. I have loved Scooby-Doo for a long time and I remember my older daughter was a ... Read the complete review
