Advantages: funny, clever, varied, great storys

Scrubs is a medical comedy...yes that's right, all the trauma, rushing around and lives on the line of a medical program made funny!. It may sound strange and indeed it is a little unorthodox but that is what makes Scrubs shine and has kept it shining for 8 seasons so far since its premier in 2001. The shows main characters are:-

J.D (Jon Dorian) - hopeless in love, quick witted, hated by Janitor and frequently daydreams (these daydreams are seen by viewers and usually totally random)

Chris Turk ("Turk") - surgeon that's J.D's best friend, known by J.D often as 'Chocolate Bear'

Carla - latina nurse that has a fiery temper

Janitor - since episode one he has hated J.D and doesn't miss an opportunity to humiliate him or cause him upset

Elliot - blonde doctor (affectionately called this by Janitor), always putting her foot in her mouth and also hopeless in love

Bob Kelso - ("who has two thumbs and doesn't give a damn?" - "bob kelso"), chief of medicine, only seems to care about patients having insurance to pay for their stay in the hospital and viewed as heartless by all.

Perry Cox - Dr Cox is J.D's mentor and, grudgingly, helps him through his medical, and sometimes personal life. Dr Cox is loud, and angry most of the time and generally likes to think he's feared by all.

The show is set in Sacred Heart Hospital and initially follows the three new doctors (Elliot, J.D and Turk) who are terrified at starting at the hospital. Stories continue through the seasons with romance, death and humor throughout and the obscure setting for the comedy is what has helped it to stand above others!
