What else can you say about htis Saturday afternoon Sci Fi show.. Set in the near future, where the global power has shifted away from the USA, the story centres around a super submarine that patrols the waters of the world with Roy Schneider as the captain of the sub, adn Stephanie Beacham as the CMO. And then of course there's Sam Raimi (of Xena fame) as the comms officer fluents in tonnes of languages. Not to mention the Dolphin (Darwin) who thanks to a clever gizmo can actually talk to the crew, although he sounds a lot like Stephen Hawking sue to the voice synthesizer. When Dianne Duane was a Guest at a UK SF Convention she was asked about her work on the novelisation of "Seaquest DSV". She and her husband [author Peter Morwood] informed the audience that while they worked on that particular adaptation they flinched every time the fax machine beeped - because they knew it would be yet MORE rewrites for them to do! Believe it or not, that happened to them 8 times a day for over 2 weeks!
