SeinfeldNewest Review: ... is rather different to any other American shows I've seen, and for the better. Jerry Seinfeld is the main character, a stand up comedian that uses observational comedy in his performances (think a classier Peter Kaye from the USA). The show has snippets of him live, but it is mostly set around his apartment and 3 friends. The Larry David influence is comparable to Curb as the show focuses on ... more |

I've only just dicovered this US sitcom after hearing it mentioned for years and years. I was prompted to finally watch it after getting into the Larry David show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm". Larry is the creator of Seinfeld and main writer so I was hoping some of the humour from Curb would be here too. I was pleasantly suprised. Ah Seinfeld, *sigh*, I'm so glad I found you! How else would I spend an empty 40 minutes in the evening? What other program can my husband and I truly agree on? What else is guaranteed to raise my spirits? Ah Seinfeld, with your lovable characters (except George of course, who is awful, but compelling!), your stories about nothing, your perceptive description of the smallness of life and your pushing of boundaries, where would I be without you?! What will I do when you stop? When I get to the end and there is NO MORE SEINFELD? After much weeping and wailing, no doubt I will start again at the beginning and laugh again at Kramer and his facial expressions, ... Read the complete review

For many years I ignored Seinfeld, thinking it was just 'another' bland US comedy. However, I was completely wrong, and now view it as one of the best sitcoms ever created. I only really got into the series after watching 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', a show which revolves around the bumbling life of Larry David, Seinfeld's co-creator. I began by watching the DVD boxset of Season One, which was first broadcast in the States in 1989, and was instantly hooked. The star of the show (as the title would suggest) is Jerry Seinfeld - a stand-up comedian working in New York City. In each episode, Jerry goes about his mundane daily business, but generally gets ... Read the complete review

This is a show I can and have watched over and over again and still laugh out loud. It's a series about, and I use Jerry Seinfeld's words, a programe about nothing. But don't let that put you off. Jerry Seinfeld plays himself, a comedian. He is a germaphobe and a bit of a neat freak too. He has an endless string of women, but alas it never works out. This is put to some great detail in the episodes, some of the reasons he gets dumped for are hilarious. The premise is Jerry and his friends going through everyday life, discussing various weird and wonderful situations that we can all relate to as they really are part of everyday trials and tribulations. ... i love seinfeld. seinfeld is a sit com about a stand up comedian Jerry seinfeld who lives in New York city. there are four main characters, jerry seinfeld, George costanza, elaine benes and the lovable cramer who cant help but mess up any situation he finds him self in. it is a comedy very much in deed. seinfeld captures the humour new york in a nutshell it is a combination of whitty banter and funny situations making seinfeld a joy to watch and listen to indeed. jerry i would say is the main character, which is a given as it is named after him. the program starts off with a clip of jerry's stand up and then goes into his life. george lives with his mum and dad who are ...
