Advantages: Good start
Disadvantages: Became predictable
Before it moved to the big screen to deliver a pretty average film Sex and the City was a successful TV show that followed the lives of four single career women in New York City and their dating exploits.
Each character fitted a sort of stereotype, the lead character was Carrie who wrote a sex column for a new York magazine all about the dating scene and her writing provided a sort of commentary or narration to the shows, Samantha was the older vamp who enjoyed sex and never really looked for a commited relationship preferring casual sex, Charlotte was the preppy sweet faced one who wanted to find Mr Right who had to be wealthy, she wanted her shining knight to sweep her off her feet while finally there was the career woman Miranda, they all had very different looks and featured in each episode.
I was never a ig fan of this show, in the end I just found the characters annoying and very predictable plus I always felt that Sarah Jessica Parker who played the lead role of Carrie could not act and has a smug look on her face that I just wanted to smack away, in fact they all semd to adopt that smug look especially on the film.
There are some funny episodes though especially in teh earlu series bu after a while it became predictable and dull.
Summary: Comedy drama
