Shameless ... Estate's Gallaghers, probably the UK's most dysfunctional family.

Newest Review: ... Estate. To be honest it could just as well be about the Gallagher brothers from Oasis as there is plenty of drinking, fightig and drug taking in the show. Head of the Gallagher clan is work shy alcoholic and general scruff bag Frank whose shambling approach to life centres around getting enough money to go to the pub and get drunk, the other main family on the estate are the Maguires a ough ... more

Shameless has been running for six series now and it is one of the funniest shows that Channel Four have ever shown, whats more it has been consistently funny over the entire six series and there are plans in placefor a seventh. The show is all about the lives of the Gallagher family who live on a Manchester sink estate called the Chatsworth Estate. To be honest it could just as well be about the Gallagher brothers from Oasis as there is plenty of drinking, fightig and drug taking in the show. Head of the Gallagher clan is work shy alcoholic and general scruff bag Frank whose shambling approach to life centres around getting enough money to go to the pub and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Proudly Shameless (1309 words)

A community as dysfunctional as those living in Chatsworth Estate is something to laugh, cry and cringe at. I would really like to think that no such community genuinely exists in their own right. I hope the writers have just taken the worst of the worst of everyday Britain and clumped it all together to make one very successful series called Shameless. Shameless is the brainchild of Paul Abbot. First televised in 2004, it has now completed it's sixth series, which I have just watched on dvd. Looking at my dvd collection, some of the series are a 15 and others, series 3 and 6, are classified as 18. It certainly deserves the high rating as the programs include ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Shameless: there's no shame in watching shameless (341 words)

Totally love this programme, been watching shameless from the very first episode and although it's not quite as good as when it first started it's still top notch comedy/drama not to be missed. Shameless is set on a rough manchester council estate called chatsworth estate. The programme is mainly centred around the gallagher family, who are a family i wouldn't want living nextdoor to me that's for sure. Head of the family Frank Gallagher is a loveable unemployed waster who spends his days living off state benifits and drinking himslef into oblivion. Frank also has six children, Fiona(18), Lip(16), Carl(12), Liam(6), Ian(15), and Debbie(10). It's left to Franks ...  Read the complete review

This programme is strictly not for children. The programme contains lots of sex scenes and sex refrences and talk about drugs and is full of violence. Although is really funny. The programme has been running a while now so it would take you to buy the episodes that have already been out thats what I done as I was slow on the take up when it first came out. The programme is set on the chatsworth estate in Manchester. The programme is set about underclass and working class culture and everyday life for people in this category. Full of filth and crime and just what it is like for people living in estates like this in the UK and even throughout the whole ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Shameless - the sect programme ever (165 words)

I absolutely love this programme, as I think it is full of humour. You neeed to have a very good sense of humour to watch this programme. However I feel that some very bad violent, sexual scenes and language is used throughout the programme and so it is not for the eyes of children or young people. Some other individuals may not like the programme, however I believe it is a very popular programme. It is a very funny programme and my favourite character is Frank Gallagher. If I miss an episode I have to watch it on channel four plus one or get my mum to tape it of me. I would definatly recommend anyone who loves comedies or who have a wicked sense of humour to watch this. ...  Read the complete review
