Advantages: hilarious but sometimes cutting storylines

Disadvantages: its only on for 50 mins!

New Series begins Tuesday 27th January 2009!

The programme centres mainly around the Gallagher household on the fictional Chatsworth Estate Manchester.

Frank Gallagher is the father of Lip (Phillip), Fiona, Carl, Ian, Debbie and Liam within the first couple of series, then goes on to father twins- Nigel and Delia with his manic depressive girlfriend Sheila, Sheila is also the mother of Karen who works in the local pub 'The Jockey' where Frank spends most of his time and money on drink and the odd 'E' tablet!..

THE most dysfunctional family the UK has ever seen in my opinion, mother of the Gallagher clan Monica has run away with long distance lorrydriver girlfriend 'Geordie'- 'Norma' and left Fiona to cope with her brothers, sister and their drunken father Frank.

The series shows you through a different story each week how the Gallagher family cope with storylines including drugs, family breakdown, their ralationship with the neighbouring drug dealing family the formiddable 'Maguire's'.

There are many hilarious storylines, but this show is not for the easily offended and definately could not be viewed before the watershed due to issues covered and bad language.
