Advantages: on channel four on a tuesday night when nothing else is on.

shameless is without doubt compulsary viewing for anyone who just wants a good laugh and doesn't want to take what they are watching too seriously. it's based on a few familys with very different backgrounds living on a council estate in manchester. but with one single goal to defraud the goverment and spend my tax! but in a programme like this i don't care as the humour is brilliant and it's all tongue in cheek. the plot lines are constantly brilliant with a fast moving pace that ensures it's success. i personnally feel that the first two series were better than series three, four and five but series six is back to the best the show has done even though a lot of the focus has changed from the once main family within the show (the gallaghers) with a lot more air time going to the maguire family which has improved the show no end. the mix of air time for both familys together has created a more balanced programme. quite simply essential viewing!

Summary: Must watch T.V.
