WHAT IS IT ABOUT: It's 1809, and Sharpe is promoted to lieutenant, putting him in charge of a band of sharpshooters led by Patrick O'Malley. When sent on a seemingly simple mission, things take a turn for the worst, and Sharpe's first challenge as a leader will be to take his men through a dangerous adventure. IS IT ANY GOOD: As an avid reader, I have read a LOT of the Sharpe books (on which the TV show is based), and I have to say that they have done a good job.
