If you have never seen this you are missing one of the best soaps going. I dont know why this is put on at lunchtime instead of prime time with all the other soaps even though it is from New Zealand and not English. You will soon get to know all the charactors in it and none of the storylines are way out. It stretches to all age groups for watching and you get some brilliant scenes and sites of New Zealand. A soap. Yes. But not just any soap. This amazing feat of television manages to combine the touching stories of people’s lives and emotions with gritty medical drama. The only problem is that because so few people have really appreciated this fabulous program it has been moved to join other under-appreciated mid-day T.V. meaning myself, and millions of others like me, could only watch it with the aid of a video recorder. Shortland Street has the very best of story lines.
