Well what can you say about the Simpsons? It's one of the longest running shows on TV. One of the biggest TV shows of all time. And is one of the biggest brands in the world!

Would you believe the Simpons started back in 1989! That's a massive twenty years it's been gracing our TV screens! There have been 441 episodes! That's just incredible.

So if you have been living in a cave for the past twenty years and have never seen the Simpsons, the plot is pretty simple. It's an animated comedy following the life of an average American fanmily. You've got Homer, the father, and probably the best character. Marge the mother. Bart and Lisa, Bart is ten and Lisa is eight. And then there is Maggie the baby. There are tons of other characters that we have all become very familiar with over the years.

Each character has there own catch phrases. Some of the characters have several. There is no set storyline, each episode just has a different story. So you can pick up in any season and not worry about whats happened in previous episodes.

The reason the Simpsons can just keep and going is because it's animated. There have been loads of classic sitcoms about familys down the years. But kids grow up, they loose there appeal and cuteness. So shows like this only tend to last a few years, maybe five tops. But the Simpsons does not have this problem. Technically Bart should be thirty now! But of course he's not, he's still ten!

The show has had countless cameo appearences down the years. Stars such as U2, The Rolling Stones, Mel Gibson, Bette Middler, just to name a few! Anyone will happily lend there voices to the show as it seems to be such an honor!

Matt Groening is the genious behind the show. He has a brilliant team of writers constantly coming up with great ideas. There have even been Simpsons films down the years. Simpsons movie a few years back was the most recent and was a box office smash.

I love this show, it always makes me laugh. It amazes me how they come up with new story lines every week, and never fail to entertain us! Homer is my favorite character, some of the pickles he find himself are brilliant. And some of the one liners he comes out with crack me up.

There is no reason why this show can't just run and run. Its as succesful now as it's ever been. I'm sure this show still has plenty more to offer us!
