Advantages: great show

Disadvantages: animation isnt brilliant

Surely you must have seen the simpsons, at its almost daily slot at 6pm on BBC2. Even though it is many years old, it is still enjoyed by children and adults alike. Nearly everyone has seen at least one episode of Americas most loveable family.

What is it that makes The simpsons the great programme that it is? Well, its not the animation quality, as that isnt great, so it must be something else. Maybe its the humour that, while being discreet at times, is still very humurous. Or maybe it is the characters, each one is crafted to a certain personality. First there is Homer, the stereotypical stupid American slob. Also there is marge, the worrying parent with a strange hair style. Then we come to bart, the centre of the show. A 10 year old naughty child, who causes havoc wherever he goes. Also there are Lisa, barts' little sister, and Maggie the dummy-sucking baby.

Whatever episode you watch, something interesting is bound to happen, maybe its a foriegn exchange student trying to steal plans of the Nuclear power plant, or its Homer trying to lose some of his great amounts of weight.

If you are lucky, you will see one of the episodes with great guest star characters, such as Tom Jones, Barry White, Mulder and Scully and other famous people.

Even after watching nearly every episode, it still entertains me, even watching the repeats is great fun. The four fingered, yellow people inside the TV known as the simpsons will entertain people for years to come. A purely brilliant programme.
