Advantages: Well written and funny. Great cast

Disadvantages: A bit too silly sometimes

I forget how much i miss Nickelodeon and shows like these. I can honestly say i was an addict when i was a teenager. I even used to know all the words to the theme song...thats kinda sad now i think about it.

Sister Sister started in 1993 and ran for 6 years, ending in 1999.

The plot:
Tia and Tamara (Tia and Tamara Mowry) were seperated at birth and adopted. 14 years later they bump into each other at the mall, neither of them knowing about each other. The girls instantly want to get to know each other and dont want to be seperated again now they've found each other. Tamara's dad reluctantly lets Tia and her mum move in with them.

The 2 families are totally different. Tia is really intellegant and is the top of her class at school. Her mum, Lisa, is a seamstress but really thinks of herself as a fashion designer. Tamara is the air head out of them both, she loves shopping at boys and doesnt really care too much about school. Her dad Ray is a limo driver and is super stuck up.

Marques Houston plays the boy next door, Roger. He's infatuated with Tamara but once he knows she has a twin he cant decide who he likes more. He frequently stalks them and really gets on their nerves resulting in them both shouting 'GO HOME ROGER!' which happens near enough every episode in the early series'.

Sister Sister dealt with a lot of important issues for teens as did many shows in the 90's but i think it was aimed at pretty much everyone, even my mum loved it.

Famous guest stars seemed to be a popular thing in the 90's and Sister Sister didnt dissapoint with appearances from the likes of Christina Milian, Tyrese Gibson and Gabrielle Union. Marques Houston's band Immature also made an appearance.

My opinion:
Although i didnt like it as much as Sabrina, it was probably my 2nd favourite show of the 90's. I loved watching the touble that the girls got into and how they tried to get rid of Roger all the time. Although some of the storylines were serious most of the things the girls got up to were really silly and made me giggle all the time. It was great to see the girls go from quite frumpy with no fashion sense to beautiful and elegant when they moved through the years. I was sad to see this show end but like many others, they did it at the right time because i dont think there was much more they could do.

I preferred the series' where the girls went to college. It became a bit more grown up and even though it was still a little silly it was a lot better written.

Summary: One of the best of the 90's
