As a small boy growing up in the 1970's, there were few programs that I really remember as fondly as the Six Million Dollar Man. Firstly, he looked just like my Dad. I thought it was my Dad. I wondered in amazement at the way he could bend steel, and run in slow motion and take his arm off (not that this happened all that regularly, just stuck in my mind, that's all, I was six after all, what do you expect for a child that age........) and so on. There seemed no end to his super human capabilities, and I loved him. He was my hero, and I couldn't wait for the next episode. How he came to be this kind of super freak, I didn't know or care. ...  Read the complete review

Steve Austin. A man, barely alive. We have the technology. We can rebuild him. We can make him better than before, stronger and faster. We have the technology to build the world’s first bionic man. This introduced this early seventies sci-fi every episode. Steve Austin, played by Lee majors, was an astronaut who had a tragic accident and had to have various operations to build him parts for his body. He had a bionic eye that acted like night visions zoom in camera. He had a bionic arm and bionic legs. He acted just like Knight Rider and fought evil villains but with the strength of a robot. Funnily though the ideas at the time were ...  Read the complete review

The Six Million Dollar Man will be fondly remembered by many 30 somethings as being a good action tv show. Starring Lee Majors as a NASA test pilot who was nearly killed in a bad crash. No prizes for guessing the cost of re building his shattered body. Notably the bionic eye complete with zoom, legs that enabled him to outpace a car and jump large distances, his arms were strong enough to bend steel. Whenever he did anything extra ordinary the action would go into slow motion and silly sound effects were added. Lee Majors would always triumph over the evil forces in each weeks episode. Sadly watching it the second time around on the Sc-Fi ...  Read the complete review
