Advantages: Good storylines

Disadvantages: A bit unbelievable at times

Skins is a drama series shown on channel 4 about several teenagers growing up in Bristol. It shows all the trials that they go through, and has some great storylines.

The latest episode showed the group going to a spooky woods to have a party. Effie finds some magic mushrooms, and as the group are all into drugs they all have them and get completely out of their heads. So much so that effie nearly kills katie. Does this really happen to a lot of teenagers? It might do, so Skins shows it.

Skins really exaggerates teenage life. The characters in this drama seem to do every drug that you can name, and are able to continue with their normal family lives. Most of the characters seem to come from disfunctional families, with parents divorcing, parents not caring, or mums dying. Its pretty dismal.

They fall in and out of love with each other, there are 2 lesbians who of course get together, theres loads of sex, mainly from cook who is absolutely mental.

Its a fun series, as it does remind me sometimes of being a teenager, although I wasnt on drugs like these lot. They dont seem to have to go to school or college, the series is all about their social lives.

If you are bored on a thursday evening then this is great entertainment. The acting is pretty good, its better than the last 2 series and its pure drama the whole way through.
